“Back in 1985, we ppt a contract an a piece of land in the woods near Ben Venue, where we planned on building a log home. Fortunately the contract fell through, or Rappahannock wouldn’t have a pink stucco, Italianate house overlooking the mountains and the Skyline Drive. If everything happens for a reason, there must have been a good one,” remembers Doug.
