Warrenton, Virginia- Somewhere over Virginia on October 28, a much admired mechanic and air show pilot by the name of Charlie Kulp will fly his amazing aerobatic comedy routine one last time for the public. He’s known on both sides of the Atlantic as the “Flying Farmer1, and he’s now in the midst of his final season. There are a few shows left on the current tour before his grand finale at the Flying Circus, near Warrenton, Virginia. Charlie’s mastery of flying in his beloved J-3 Cub has only sharpened over the years. Other pilots stop what they’re doing to watch Charlie fly, and have been doing so for decades. Incredibly, Mr. Kulp turns 82 this summer.
