Robert J. “Butch” Embrey, 73, of Amissville, died Friday, September 14, 2007 at his residence. He was bom March 29, 1934 in Fauquier County to the late William Thaddeus Embrey - and Ella Gertrude Embrey.
Mr. Embrey retired as a Supervisor at Bingham & Taylor Corporation in Culpeper. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of Jeffersonton Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. Mr. Embrey loved Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and knew his Bible well.
He is survived by his loving wife, Violet V. Embrey, five daughters, Kathy Embrey Ryznar of Fredericksburg, Marie Putnam and her husband, Kenny, of Midland, Susan Bright and her husband, R.S., Doris Pruss and her husband, Frank, and Connie Keyser, all of Bealeton; a daughter-in-law, Sue Wood of Rixeyville; and a son, David Snyder and his wife, Sue, of Culpeper.
