The children of Paul A. Poling and Gertrude Lillard Poling are pleased to announce the celebration of their parent’s 65th wedding anniversary.
They were married on September 11, 1942 by Reverend L.W. Conway, in Arlington Virginia. Paul and Gerty Poling of Amissville, Virginia, remain active with the Amissville United Methodist Church and the Amissville Volunteer Fire Dept. Their hobbies include the Raggedy Firehouse Museum, seeing their many friends, and enjoying their children, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Paul and Gerty were blessed with two daughters, Judie Poling Graham of Culpeper and Cheryl Poling Taylor of Sperryville, along with two special sonsin-law, Ricky Graham and Tom G. Taylor.
The festivities were held at The Inn at Little Washington, Virginia, where Paul and Gerty dined with their daughters and sons-in-law.
They have been a loving inspiration to their family, friends and community.
