Hitt said Post 1150 has met state and national goals for membership for more than 10 consecutive years and has earned the distinction of being an “Honor Post.”
The post’s 31 members perform community services and on Memorial Day dedicated a veterans monument in Spenyville Cemetery. The post raised all the funding for the project and continues to raise funds to refurbish the stairway at the cemetery’s entrance.
