The county hired Laura Overstreet at the beginning of the month to write a grant proposal requesting money from the Virginia Tourism Corporation.
Overstreet, who owns a house outside Washington, has worked in tourism for the past 10 years. She has serv ed on the publicity committee for the Taste of Rappahannock and has handled publicity for the Artists of Rappahannock Studio and Gallery Tour, tin annual event featuring local artists. The Virginia Tourism Corporation grant application is due Friday. Sept. 21.
