Culpeper, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, beloved friends and neighbors Shirley and Richard, his dog Lucky, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Embrey is preceded in death by a son, Larry J. Wood, a brother, William Keith Embrey, and a sister, Ella Mae Day.
The family received friends on Tuesday, September 18 from 7-9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 19, at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with Pastor Marshall W. Braylo officiating.
Interment followed at Culpeper National Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jesse Keyser, Richard Bright, David Jenkins III, Eric Pugh, and Lee and Larry Day. Honorary pallbearers were Jennifer Pullen, Carla Keyser, Robert L. Embrey, Keith and Jason Wood and Stevie Settle.
Memorial donations may be made in Mr. Embrey’s name to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 1747, Culpeper, VA 22701.
