Old Time Music Jam
Take down your fiddle and pick up your bow. Friends of Old Time Music have started an informal jam session on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Fire Hall. Old time music is sometimes called Traditional or Appalachian Folk music that was played by mountain families. Players with an interest are welcome. Sept. 20: The Celtic Tenors
Stage Alive Community Concert Association presents the first of this season's performances, The Celtic Tenors, on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Culpeper High School. Sept. 20: Rain Gardens
The regular monthly meeting of Rappahannock Friends and Lovers of Our Watershed (RappFLOW) win take place on Thursday Sept 20 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at our office, located in the building just to the right of the Old Sperryvitte Schoofoouse. In the spirit of watershed conservation and protection, we will explore the concept of rain gardens - what a rain garden is, how to bufld one, and how your own rain garden can help protect YOUR watershed. We extend a special invitation to those who have already installed a rain garden, so bring your neighbor and join the fun! RappFLOW will also be celebrating the official certification of six RappFLOW volunteers who this month became certified in macro invertebrate water quality sampling.
