project and will pay approximately $10,000 depending on what other groups contribute, County Administrator John McCarthy said. He said plans for the Web site will proceed even if the grant is denied, but he warned that progress would be slow in that case.
“I don’t think it will happen anywhere nearly as fast if we have to do it with our own money,” he said.
McCarthy said he expects a response to the grant application by Jan. 1. He said that a contract to construct the Web^ site would be awarded through a competitive process.
