This losing-on-the-finalquestion thing is starting to get old for the Rappahannock County High School Scholastic Bowl team.

George Mason senior captain Peter Davis hit the buzzer a split-second and correctly gave French author Alexander Dumas as the answer to the final question as the Mustangs defeated the Panthers, 175160, Monday night in Group A Bull Run District Scholastic Bowl match play.

The win ran George Mason’s undefeated streak to 40 consecutive district matches.

It is the second time in as many matches that Rappahannock came within a correct answer of defeating the Mustangs.
