going around to greet individuals to thank them for supporting my son’s family. There were Bikers from Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia and the VA Counties of Rappahannock, Spotsylvania, Caroline, Stafford and Fauquier. I could not believe the outpouring of love and respect for our fallen Marine.
During this time I learned that bikers do this for many people who have lost loved ones, raise money for children with Leukemia, and support many other causes. They have poker rides where they buy a hand to play and each card can cost $5.00. They ride to different locations to buy the cards and at the end of the day, the biker with the best hand wins the prize. The money goes to the benefit they are riding in for that day.
There are different types of rides but they all have the same purpose: to raise money to help someone’s need. Even though I am very thankful for the support they were giving to my son’s family, even more I appreciate the fact that
