losnviww • (fIMI in Will I his wife, Juliet and their two sons, Anthony and Dorrunic. Mike grew up in Flint HM and graduated from Rappahannock High School in 1964. He joined the USMC that same year. In 1991 he was accepted in the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program. Mike attended Virginia Tech and graduated in 1995 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Alter several more assignments he was selected to attend the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey; Ca. where he graduated with a Masters Degree in Computer Science. He then served with the Marine Corps support on the World War on Terror. The program win include a performance by the RCHS band. Refreshments wifl be served Idfowing the program. To honor a veteran with a named flag placed around the oval of RCHS, a form must be filled out and returned with $3 per flag to Saly Havstad. On Friday November 9 at 8 p. m., Richard Lykes, well-known photographer and freelance journalist win present a slide shew featuring images of foe people of Rappahannock that he has photographed over foe last several years. Mr. Lykes’ photographs chronicle the cultural, social and civic activities of the county's cfverse and talented abzens-"young and old and in-between." The event is free and open to foe public and held at foe Rappahannock County Public Library.
