There was a substantial crowd of two and four-footed creatures, as big or bigger than before, but nobody was counting. A lot of money was raised, but if anybody is counting just how much they haven’t finished tallying yet as donations are still coming in.
The champion individual fundraising human was, once again, Lisa Welsted of Flint Hill. (Lisa is tops in this effort more often than the Red Sox win the World Series.)
Of the folks who came to show support, Cunningham said: “It is thrilling to see more volunteers than ever helping out on our big day; we had an unexpectedly large turnout and greater-than-anticipated contributions, especially considering that we had to shift to our rain date, Sunday, after the weather was so threatening for Saturday.”
