The Blue Ridge Chorale
On Friday, December 7, at 8 p.m. the Blue Ridge Chorale will present ‘A Christmas Feast of Carols” at The Theatre in Washington, VA. The program begins with an instrumental prelude, followed by music reflecting the awe and joy of Christmas Eve. After the intermission, our Tbuth Choir will join in the festivities, there will be carols with the audience, and after several more festive offerings the celebration will conclude with Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. Here an there during the program Father Christmas will treat us to some poetry.
This is a return engagement for the Blue Ridge Chorale. If you enjoyed last year's concert please come again and bring your friends. King Jr. Dream Keeper Awards
The Julia E. Boddie Scholarship Committee invites the community to participate in the selection of the Ftev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dream Keeper’ Awards in Rappahannock County for 2006. The deadline for nominations is December 10. There are 3 categories: 1) individual/adult 2)individual/student, and 3) business, organization. Nominees must be residents or relatives of residents of (Rappahannock County. The awards will be presented during the 17th Annual Flev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration in IRappahannock on January 20,2008, at 4 p.m., at The Theatre, Gay St, Washington, VA. The Dream Keeper Awards is a means of celebrating the life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King by recognizing the efforts of local indviduals and organizations who aspire to the ideals that Dr. King spoke about feved, fought and died for.
