VDOT update
A crew from the Virginia Department of Transportation began working on the Aaron Mountain Road Bridge on Monday, VDOT administrator David Cubbage told the supervisors. The bridge will be completely replaced within about 18 months and will then be strong enough to carry the weight of a school bus.

Scrabble School Preservation Foundation President Bob Lander told the board about continuing efforts to raise funds to restore the former AfricanAmerican school for use as a Heritage Center for black history in Rappahannock and a Senior Nutrition Center for the county’s elderly residents.
