I have come to believe strongly in the value of hospice. Hospice of the Rapidan’s team included a volunteer who was a source of comfort and reassurance^ and I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of this for other families after our ordeal was over. I finished my training this past June and I am very proud to be a part of the Hospice of the Rapidan team. Now that I have seen how they work with patients and families from both sides I know this was one of my better decisions. Helping other families who are going through the same issues we felt is highly rewarding. I have also met some truly wonderful people along the way.
