Rappahannock artists hosted hundreds of visitors this past weekend for the third annual Artists of Rappahannock Studio and Gallery Tour.
Joanne Hilty, co-chair of the tour put on by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community, estimated that between 800 and 900 people stopped by the Washington fire hall on Saturday and Sunday. There they picked up maps listing all of the artists’ studios and then set out, treasure-hunt style, to find them.
Hilty said that people came from all over the Northern Virginia region to enjoy the work of Rappahannock’s artists.
