Bagley easement
The board approved the concept of having the county co-hold a conservation easement for the Bagley property with the Piedmont Environmental Council.
The 55-acre property owned by John and Delma Bagley is located between two other easement-protected properties in the F.T Valley. The land also hunts a 1.5-mile section of the Hazel River.
Ultimate approval of the easement will be subject to Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke’s review and the final wording of the agreement.
McCarthy said cooperatively holding the easement with PEC will not require any taxpayer funds.
