Bernice Virginia Williams,.. 8T, ef Chester Gap, pasked^ away at herhomeon ThursdayNovember 1, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Williams was born April 8, 1920 in Rappahannock County to Johnny and Addie (Williams) Wines; she was one of 14 children. She was a lifelong resident of Rappahannock County and worked for many years at the Aileen Sewing Factory as a presser. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband George; 2 sisters, Nancy Williams and Odessa Campbell; 5 brothers, Elmer Wines, Robert Wines, Samuel Wines, Eugene Wines, Bernard Wines; and 1 grandson, Jimmy Brady.

She is survived by six children, “Shirley” Williams of Luray, Loretta Brady of Front Royal, Tommy Williams of Chester Gap, Sonny Williams of Chester Gap, Donald Williams of Front Royal, Kathy Longmire and her husband William of Chester Gap; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 4 greatgreat grandchildren.

Additional survivors include four sisters; Geneva Elkins of Winchester, Everly Hickerson of Front Royal, Eulice Frazier of Front Royal, Patsy Robinson of Chester Gap; and two brothers, Willie Wines of Front Royal and Gene Wines of Chester Gap.

A funeral service was held Monday November 5 at Robert Shaw Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Rose officiating. Interment was followed at the Williams Family Cemetery in Chester Gap.

Pallbearers were Ted Williams, Johnny Williams, Brian Williams, Chris Williams, Brandon Longmire, and Jeff Williams Honorary Pallbearers were Danny Hickerson, Jimmy Williams, Junior Williams and Billy Wines.
