Nov 8: Spay and Neuter Program
The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL), in collaboration with the Shenandoah Valley Spay and Neuter Cfirric, continues monthly trips to fix pets. Under this new program, costs of “fixing’’ pets are reduced dramatically. Line up your dog or cat for one of the van trips to Harrisonburg and pay far less than usual for this service. Owners register and pay in person in advance at the RAWL shelter in Amissv«e. First come, first served. A series of classes provkfing hands-on training, information and support to family caregivers w# be held on Thursdays Nov. 8 and 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Washington Fire Hall. Topics wit include hands-on care, safety preventing and dealing with problems, managing mediations, working with doctors and hospitals, findkig resources, financial and legal issues, coping with confusion and dementia and caring for the caregiver.
