Maybe knowing that the season could end with only one defeat served as motivation for the Rappahannock County High School volleyball team. . H - ThfrLaJyJVmther»got> 19 kills from senior hitter Elena Kritter as they rolled to a 2514, 25-16, 25-23 victory over Wilson Memorial in the quarterfinals of the Group A Region B Tournament Tuesday night in Fishersville.

With the win, the Lady Panthers will host Dogwood District champion Altavista tonight in the regional semifinals. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

The regional final is Saturday night. The site has not been determined.

The Lady Panthers (18-5) seemingly had little trouble with Wilson Memorial. They reeled off nine consecutive points to take control of the first game. The Green Hornets never got closer than six points.
