Jennings Hobson seconded Bomberger’s argument, stating that the automatic step increase needed to be divided from the cost of living increase in order to be fair.
The administration gets a straight 6.8 cost of living increase, noted math teacher Susan Hrbek, while teachers get only 4.3 per cent for cost of living plus an earned step increase.
