Saturday, March 18, was a new experience for many students. Instead of sleeping late or watching favorite cartoons, school was in session. But I believe most would rather come now, instead of during the hot summer months!
The day was an unusual one, though; we went only to our first three classes with everyone eating on one lunch shift. Afterwards, we had a special treat—a basketball game with the Seniors against the Juniors.
RCHS basketball team members were not permitted to play, but the Seniors had the advantage since the majority of them had played before. It's also not such an easy job to stop a 6’4” guy such as Scott Jenkins or Pete Aylor!
The final boys score was 44-14, with the Seniors on top. A highlight of the game occurred when a Junior player took the ball and began going the wrong way; even worse, he continued after the whistle blew!
