Warren A. Hitt, 74, of Arlington died March 18, 1978 in Northern Virginia Doctor’s Hospital. He was bom in Amissville in 1903. He was graduated from Strayers Business College and worked with the Williamsburg Restoration for the Rockefeller Foundation in the early 1930’s. He later started his own contracting company which he has headed for over forty years.
Deatherage
James B. Deatherage of Clearwater, Fla. died Wednesday, February 8,1978 in a hospital there. He was 78, the son of the late Thomas A. Deatherage and Hattie Anderson Deatherage, bom June 28, 1899 near Flint Hill. In his early childhood he moved with his family to Amissville.
Mr. Deatherage lived and worked in the D. C. area as a welder and machinist before retiring and moving to Florida. He was a member of the Amissville United Methodist Church and a member of Congress Masonic Lodge No. 37 of Washington, D. C. Survivors include his wife, Doris A. Deatherage at home, and a sister, Hattie Meesw of Youngstown, Ohio. ff
