Mrs. Buntin emphasized that the people who receive supplemental grants for domicilliary care and other assistances have no money and no family to help shoulder the financial burden. She noted that the Rappahannock Welfare Department was pacing the full bill for one individual in the Fredericksburg home but said that she was working on obtaining Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments administered by Social Security for this individual. The amount budgeted for supplemental grants to cover domicilliary care is based on all the recipients getting regular SSI payments to help defray costs to the county, Mrs. Buntin added.
