Orfila Joins
State Police
Martin Orfila of Washington, a deputy with the Rappahannock Sheriffs Department, will trade his brown uniform for a blue one next week when he begins his training with the Virginia Department of State Police in Richmond. Orfila has been accepted as a conditional trainee and will have a week of school before being assigned to an area for onthe-road training with a Trooper.
After this practical training period Orfila will attend 20 weeks of classes at training headquarters in Richmond. Following graduation from this he will be assigned as a Trooper to a permanent station.
