NOTICE TO THE

PUBLIC The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries at a meeting held in Richmond, Virginia, on February 24, 1978, ordered the following proposed changes in its regulations pursuant to Sections 29 125, 29 126 and 29 127 of the Code of Virginia. A public hearing for the purpose of adopting such changes will be held at the Holiday InnWest, 3200 W. Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia at 9:30 a m., April 14, 1978.

CHAPTER 2.

In General (Game). Adopt a new regulation to be numbered R2 8.3 as follows:

Except as otherwise provided in R6-2, R6 3.1, R6-4 and R6-11, the hunting and trapping seasons and bag limits for the G. Richard Thompson Wildlife Management Area and Sky Meadows State Park shall be the same as those for Fauquier County. Adopt a new regulation to be numbered R2-9 to read as follows:

Any person owning a trap shall be responsible for having it marked with his name and address. Such trap must be so mar'ked except when within the dwelling house of the owner of the trap. Adopt a new regulation to be numbered Rl-12 to read as follows:

It shall be unlawful to set above the ground any connibear trap with a jaw spread in excess of five inches.

CHAPTER 6. Deer Amend Regulation R6 5 to read as follows:

The bag limit for deer shall be one a license year, either sex the last day only, in the counties of Alleghany, Augusta, Bath, Bland, Botetourt, Clarke, Craig, Franklin (except on Philpott Reservoir), Frederick, Giles, Grayson, Greene (except on Rapidan Wildlife Management Area), Henry (except on Fairystone Wildlife Management Area and Philpott Reservoir), Highland, Madison (except on Rapidan Wildlife Management Area), Page, Patrick (except on Fairystone Park, Fairystone Wildlife Management Area and Philpott Reservoir), Pulaski, Rockbridge, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Warren and Wythe.
