for Panther supporters to follow. And as eager as they are to get the 1982-83 sports season rolling, they are just as anxious to share what they’ve mastered with the junior varsity squad.
“The girls hope their Panther fans will be as pleasantly surprised with them this fall as they were with Ralph Sampson’s presence at camp this summer," Brand joked.
All of the RCHS cheerleaders need and deserve support from their school and community. “We’ll be looking forward to seeing the bleachers full of smiling faces, ready to yell, at the first girl's basketball game on August 31 at Warren County High School," added the squad’s sponsor.
Asked if they’d brought back renewed commitment from camp, the girls responded with a resounding “Yes!’’, appropriately celled—or rather cheered—in unison. Renewed interest? “Yes!" School spirit? "Yes!"
The words of a new chant seemed to sum up the new Rappahannock Cheerleaders: “Attitude check—We feel so good, yea, we feel so good!”
