Headlining the afternoon’s musical program will be The Seldom Scene, the Virginiabased bluegrass band with a national reputation. The group, featuring several former members of The Country Gentlemen, has recorded 16 albums and performed on television and college campuses, at the White House, Wolf Trap Farm Park, and all major bluegrass festivals.
Other entertainers include Branchwater, a Southern band known for its “downhome-country-outlaw” music, and Josephine and the Juggetts, featuring a dozen musicians playing oldfashioned country music instruments. The enthusiastic music and dancing of the Stompers and Strutters of Sterling round out the program.
