NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT: That, pursuant to Section 29-213.17 of theXodeof Virginia, 1950, as amended, the running at large of all dogs in all portions of the Town of Washington, Virginia be, and same hereby is, prohibited. For the purpose of this ordinace, a dog shall be deemed to be running at large while roaming, running or selfhunting off the property of its owner of custodian and not under its owner's or custodian's immediate control. Any person who permits his dog to run at large shall be deemed to have violated the provisions of this ordinance.

It is further ORDAINED, pursuant to Section 29-213.16 of the Code of Virginia, that it shall be unlawful for the owner of any dos six (6) months or older to permit such dog to roam at large without a license tag within th => imits of the Town of Wasnington, Virginia.

Copies of this ordinance are on file in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County and may be examined by interested citizens between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M., Monday thru Friday.

All person affected may appear and present their views at the date and time and at the place indicated above.
