At the same time Dennis reterson, an awe oi Third District Congressman Thomas Bliley, began collecting signatures of the party’s Executive Committee calling for a meeting of the committee on Friday, May 13. It was acknowledged an ouster of Cramer w as to be one of the items discussed.
Cramer, however, ruled that under the Republican Party Plan the Executive Committee could not be called into session unless the chairman called it. This Cramer refused to do on the 13th, although he said he would convene a meeting of the committee at a later date.
