Warrenton Festival
The 5th Annual Old Town Warrenton Spring Festival will be held on Main Street in Warrenton Saturday, May 21 from 9 to 4.
The festival will include over ISO craftspeople displaying for exhibit and sale such homemade crafts as jewelry, quilts, pottery, wood carvings, leather goods and ceramics. The wide range of activities planned for the day includes music by the U.S. Navy Band, Country Current, and the Free State Ramblers as well as pony rides, a petting zoo, and a pie eating contest.
A variety of food and drink will be available and admission is free.
Honeysuckle Rose
The romantic comedy. Honeysuckle Rose, starring Willie Nelson and Dyan Cannon, will be shown Sunday and Tuesday at the (Jay Street Theater in Washington, both at 8:00. Note different days this week.
Memorial Observance
A morning prayer and patriotic Memorial Day service will be held at St. Paul’s cemetery in Woodville at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 30.
Rev. Jennings Hobson will conduct the service. The public is invited to attend.
Benefit Dinner Planned
A chicken barbecue dinner will be held at Flint Hill fire hall on Saturday, May 28, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
