This contract work and that performed by future contracts will restore the 50year old Skyline Drive to a like-new condition. The park’s recently approved Ceneral Management Plan included Federal Highway Administration's engineering reconunendat ions w hich w ill allow for a complete rehabilitation to occur w ithin the next 15years.
"The scheduling of this activity has been done in such a manner as to allow the public to continue to enjoy the many recreational opportunities within the park, with a minimum of disruption and inconvenience,” Jacobsen added.
