It looks like our 4-H Community Cooperative Day Camp is really going to happen! Eighty children have signed up to go to camp the week of June 13-17. The cost is $25.00 per child for the week plus $1.00 per day if using the swimming pool. Registration is due in the Extension Office no later than Friday, May 27! Please don’t delay! You can bring it by the office or send it to P.O. Box 119, Washington.
The classes we hope to offer are as follows: soccer, baseball, canoeing, tennis, volleyball, gymnastics, drama, nature studies, archery, basketball, dance, arts/crafts, first-aid. We will not be giving swimming lessons but will have a free swim in the afternoon for the children.
There will be a planning meeting at the 4-H Center in Harmony Hollow near Front Royal on Saturday, June 4, beginning at 10:00 a.m. for the adults who would like to teach at the camp. This will be the only planning meeting we will have, so it is very important that you attend if you plan to teach. Bring a brown bag lunch and beverage to this meeting.
Teenage counselors must have applications in by Friday, May 20.
