One of the beasts we singled out for study in 1978 was the ’‘Impasse” a rather stolid creature but one which was not aggressive. It took a stand, did not seek one out, or approach. Now an impasse has been noted in New York as approaching the governor of that State, Mr. Cuomo. Evidently, according to the New York Times report, the governor is not aware that he is being approached. If the Times has in fact observed an Impasse, and not a Dilemma, Jack and and I may have to revise our classic bestiary to note this new trait, possibly an aberration, in the Impasse.
