Steve Hostetter, as Berringer’s irascible friend Jean, is a crowd favorite and a superb comedian, full of bouncing movements and cooing inflections. His transformation in Act II certainly even surpasses his performance as Captain Hook of two seasons ago. It is of a dimension not usually available on the community theater level.

Daisy, the girl Berringer cares for in his modest, selfeffacing way, is admirably played by Tut Harris.
