Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Rowe and son, Jesse and Mrs. Mildred Atkins of Hampton were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ranny Aylor and Heather.

Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Sutherland, Mrs. George Davis of Washington, Mrs. T. M. Johnston and Mrs. Mary Quaintance had dinner recently at Brookside near Luray.

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Deal of Waynesboro, N. C. recently visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Deal and other friends.

The Administrative Board of the United Methodist Church met Sept. 27 with Mr. and Mrs. Julian Brown. Members present were the Rev. Merlin Shorb, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers, Mrs. Nina B. Brown, Mrs. Catherine Brown, Mrs. Tom Klatko, Mrs. Robert W. Brown, Mrs. Jimmy Wayland, Hugh Chrisman, Mrs. Lee Swindler and Mrs. Ranny Aylor.

Dinner guests last Wednesday evening of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Hawkins were Mr. and Mrs. Phil Hawkins of Slate Mills and their houseguest, Mrs. Hawkins’ mother, Mrs. Virginia Hodgson of Statesville, N. C. On Thursday Mr. and Mrs. George Hawkins and Mrs. Fred Codding of Fairfax visited Mr. Hawkins’ sister, Mrs. Louise Bayne in Adelphi, Md.

Paul Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Brown celebrated his 7th birthday at McDonalds in Front Royal Saturday. Guests were his mother, his brother, Jason and his grandmother, Mrs. Catherine Brown and Jennifer and Crystal Leake.

, Rep. J. Kenneth Robinson will be sending his assistant, William W. Pifer, to Rappahannock on Wednesday, October 19.

Pifer will be available to talk with constituents who have problems of a federal nature with the Social Security Administration, Department of Labor, Immigration and Naturalization Service, Internal Revenue Service, Office of Personnel Management, etc.) or who wish to relay opinions on national legislative issues or simply discuss matters of concern.

He will be at the courthouse in Washington from 10:00a.m. to 11:30a.m.
