Jenkins
Retires
Rural mail carrier Elmer T. Jenkins retired September 30, according to an announcement from Amissville postmaster C. S. Mundy.
Combined military and postal service gives Jenkins nearly 35 years of government service. “Mr. Jenkins has made a major contribution to efficient mail delivery in the Amissville area,” said Mundy. “He is a dedicated, conscientious employee. He will be missed greatly by the entire community.”
Although Jenkins retired from the Postal Service, he will still be working full time as owner of Jenkins’ Garage in Amissville, according to Mundy.
