The latest monthly travel report from the park’s information service shows 208,800 total visits during September, 19X2, compared to 218,800 during the same time period last year.
Overnight stays also were down with 50,559 imported for last month, 01,027 during September, 19X2, a decrease of 4.57 percent.
To date, the calendar year visits are closer. So far this year 1,254,500 have visited the park this year com pared with 1,251,700 by October 1 in 10X2. Overnight stays so far this year have numbered 240,772 compared to 270,025 by this time last year.
In other statistics park officials report a maximum temperature at Big Mead ows last month of 85 degrees. The low was 20 degrees. Total precipitation measured 2.51 inches.
