Mrs. Jessie Manuel Wisecarver, 74, of Stephens City, died Thursday, October 6, 1983, at her residence.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester by the Rev. Julius E. Bounds, Jr. Burial was in Mount Hebron Cemetery.

Mrs. Wisecarver was bom March 21, 1909, in Rappahannock County, a daughter of the late Andrew and Eva Noakes Brady. She was a member of Greenway Baptist Church at Double Tollgate. Mrs. Wisecarver was retired after 35 years as a nurse’s assistant.

Her late second husband was Robert Wisecarver. Her late first husband was John E. Manuel.

Surviving are a daughter, Jean Metz of Falls Church; three sons, John E. Manuel of Richmond, Robert Manuel of Winchester and James Manuel of Stephens City; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mrs. Virginia Margaret Lee, 56, of Culpeper, died Monday, October 10, 1983, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Orange by the Rev. Maurice Cook. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery in Unionville.

Mrs. Lee was retired from Illinois Tool Works and was a member of the Culpeper United Methodist Church. She was born in Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late Weldon Sisk and Mrs. Fannie Sisk of Nethers Mill. She was the widow of Lewis Carlton Lee.

In addition to her mother, survivors include a son, Bruce Gordon Lee of Culpeper; one stepson, Chipper Lee of Falls Church; three brothers, Charles Weldon Sisk of Nethers Mill, Otis Kelso Sisk of Peola Mills and Odell Sisk of Remington and five sisters, Mrs. Nellie Pearl Bennett of Arlington, Mrs. Flossie Nichols and Mrs. Florine Miller, both of Remington, Mrs. Mildred Jenkins of Etlan and Mrs. Mazie Weakley of Culpeper.
