Donna Gore of the University of Richmond spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Doris Ann Gore.

Mrs. Kathleen Dodson returned home Friday from Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton and Sunday guests were Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Peyton, Jr. of Falls Church.

Weekend guests of Mrs. Lee Swindler were Mr. and *Mrs. A. Lee Swindler, Jr. of Hanover, Pa. Mrs. Viola Brown also of Hanover was a weekend guest of her sister-in-law, Mrs. James A. Dodson and a dinner guest of the Swindlers Saturday evening.

Harry Trescott is recuperating at home following surgery at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Brown of Hanover, Pa. were weekend guests of Mrs. Roy L. Reeve.

Mrs. Frances Tabler was a guest last Wednesday evening of the Arlington Bridge Club at the home of Mrs. Paul Murray and an overnight guest of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marcey in Falls Church. She had lunch Thursday with Miss Mildred Myers and was a dinner and overnight guest of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Lloyd in Sterling where she was joined by many of her friends.

Mrs. Helen Stickley of Front Royal spent several days with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Brown and family after breaking bones in her ankle in an accident at home.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Williams who were enroute to their home in Front Royal after a week in Florida were Monday callers of Mrs. Nina B. Brown. While in Florida they visited Benny Bruce whose condition remains the same.

Mrs. Ethel Tyner and Miss Nellie Atkins accompanied Elder and Mrs. Elmer Skeen of Palmyra to services Sunday at Battle Run Primitive Baptist Church near Ben Venue.

Mrs. Robert W. Brown and Mrs. B. M. Varner attended the Festival of Leaves in Front Royal Sunday afternoon.

Sarah Vartanian and Henry Pope of Washington, D. C. spent Saturday with Mrs. Harald Havstad and son, Peter.

The Finance Committee of the United Methodist Charge met on Sept. 28 at the parsonage in Flint Hill with the Rev. and Mrs. Merlin Shorb. Those from here attending were Mrs. Ranny Aylor, Mrs. Lee Swindler, Julian Brown, Nelson Nethers and Hugh Chrisman.

Mrs. Delia Leake spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. George Owens in Baltimore, Md.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne attended the V.P.I.Duke football game in Blacksburg on Saturday.
