RAAC Presents Local Hero
Local Hero, starring Peter Rieger, Burt Lancaster, 1 eter Capaldf and Denis Lawson, is RAAC’s film selection of the week. Local Hero is about a young oil executive sent to buy an entire Scottish village to turn it into a refinery. Magic and fate conspire to change the course of the young man’s life.
Show time is Saturday at 8:00, Sunday at 7:00.
Voices Speak On Race
The next program in the continuing "Voices of Rappahannock” series will be October 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Gay Street Theater. Topic is “The Experience of Race.” Speakers will be Charlie Lewis, Ann Keyser, Bob Mahlbacher, Doris Jennings and Marie Davis.
Booster Club Meets
The Booster Club meeting Monday at 7:30 at RCHS will be the last workshop for this year’s Friendship Follies. New volunteers and Booster members are invited to attend.
Mt. Lebanon
Anniversary Tea
An old-fashioned high-tea, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the founding of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, will be served in the education building of the church on Rt. 522 at Scrabble, 2 miles south of Woodville, on Sunday afternoon, October 23rd, from 3 to 5 p.m. Ladies of the church will be dressed in early 19th century costumes.
Rev. William Lancaster invites all residents of Rappahannock County to join in celebrating Mt. Lebanon’s Sesquicentennial by attending this tea.
