Arts and Crafts Festival

On October 15 and 16, the Sperryville Indoor Antique Market will be hosting a special arts and crafts show featuring such things as pewter and tinsmithing, quilting, ceramics, woodworking, antique jewelry, chair caning and candle wicking. There will also be an old fashioned cider press set up on the porch where you can buy hot or cold homemade cider.

Barbara Huidekoper, a local artist and famous sculptor, will also be featured. Ms. Hidekoper has just closed an exhibit of her work at the Hull Museum in Washington, D.C^

The public is invited.

Retired Teachers To Meet

The Rappahannock Retired Teachers Association will meet on Tuesday, October 18, at 11 a.m. at the Quality Inn in Front Royal for a business and luncheon meeting. Reservations are not necessary.

Halloween Dance

The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) is sponsoring a Halloween dance at the Washington Fire Hall. Providing music will be the Free State Ramblers. The dance is set for October 29 from nine to one. Refreshments are available and costumes invited. Admission if $5.00, $4.00 for RAAC members and $3.00 for those under 16 or over 65.
