At the first entrance to the town of Washington, Woodward took the patrol car around Clore’s vehicle. “I got in front of him and wouldn’t let him pass while I kept slowing down,” the deputy said, adding that the subject stopped at the town’s second entrance.
According to Woodward, the young man had bled profusely from slashes on both arms at the inside of the elbow. He said he attempted to put Clore in a Fauquier deputy’s car for transport to Fauquier Hospital but called the Washington Rescue Squad instead because the man’s wounds continued to bleed and he was losing consciousness. He was taken to the hospital in Warrenton for treatment.
Clore has been charged in Rappahannock County with reckless driving.
