sizes at Country Manor (in standard nine inch or 12 inch banquet size) or they may be built by the handyman. A standard cone has a six inch base and tapers to a 2V* inch top. It is approximately eight inches tall. Finishing nails protrude at regular intervals from the cone; three kfor each apple and four nails at the top of the cone.
The cone is placed on a large platter or cardboard, magnolia leaves, holly or boxwood are used to cover the base and to cover any exposed wood between the fruit. The fruit is placed firmly on the nails. Besides apples, combinations of lemons, oranges and other colorful fresh fruits may be used. A large apple or small pineapple is placed on top.
