Norah Virginia Poe Lawson, 94, died Wednesday, December 14, 1983, in Arlington, where she had lived since 1957.

Bom in Warren County in 1889, she was the daughter of Winterton Dionysius and Sarah Virginia Beaty Poe. She lived in Flint Hill from 1906 to 1957, with her late husband, Walton Aurelius Lawson.

Survivors include a daughter, Reba Lawson Dabney of Arlington; two sons, Jack Lawson of Richmond and Paul Lawson of Washington, D.C.; five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and two greatgreat-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lawson was predeceased by two grandchildren, Richard Lawson Dabney and Jacqueline Lawson.

At the request of Mrs. Lawson, her ashes will be taken to St. George’s Hill, Surrey, England.
