Visiting Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser at “The Oaks” last Monday were Mr. and Mrs. Amos Fultz of Stanley.
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Jenkins were Saturday overnight guests of the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Campbell. On Sunday the Jenkins attended a Christmas party at the home of David Wolfford at Rixeyville.
Calling on H. Taylor Updike on Sunday were his children, Ms. Ann Parker and Cassandra and H. T. Updike, Jr., all of Culpeper.
Mrs. Aileen Jenkins of Orange was a Wednesday visitor of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Payne.
The community is invited to attend the candlelighting service at Washington Baptist Church on Christmas Eve beginning at 7 p.m. Pastor Steve Scoggin promises that it will be a delightful evening.
J. Stant Weaver celebrated his 85th birthday on Saturday. However, on Tuesday he was given a dinner by his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Peneranda at their home in Griffinsburg. Those joining them for the celebration were Mrs. George Butler, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duncan and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Butler, all of Boston, Mr. and Mrs. William Thornhill and Mrs. Dick Clore, _ John and infant daughter, all of Culpeper and Mrs. Josephine Wood of Reva Park.
Mrs. Alice Beahm was a Sunday afternoon visitor of Mr. and Mrs. John Clark, Jr., Stacey and Amanda.
