the remains of the stone walls of the mill, the mill race and parts of the stone wall of the clam that held water for the mill in what was known as “the big pond.” The whole arrangement must have been a masterful piece of hydraulic engineering.

From this point on the road is shaded on the south of a running ridge, known as School House Mountain and eventually reaches the end of the hollow marked by the gap between Schoolhouse Mountain and Juba’s Mountain, which runs down from the Northwest.
