Rene is a senior at the Academy and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Ellis of Amissville. In her new position as operations officer, she will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating all events for the cadet corps.
Rene is one of only two female cadet officers in the R-MA cadet corps. She is commander of the drill team. She was also Randolph-Macon Academy's Homecoming Queen this year.
Rene wants to be an officer in the United States Navy. After graduating from R-MA she plans to attend the Naval Academy in Annapolis.
The Academy is a United Methodist-affiliated preparatory school located approximately 70 miles from Washington. DC. It is the only co-ed boarding school in the nation with t\ir Force JR ROTC.
