The Rappahannock School Hoard has joined a growing list of counties in adopting a resolution protesting state mandated programs without the funding to go along with them.

School Board members unanimously approved the resolution drafted by the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) during their December Id meeting. The vote requests the governor and General Assembly to realistically fund the state’s share of required programs or services and also to provide local school boards with the necessary funding and authority to set their own pay plans.
